PenSHRM20 President's Message

We are living in the future of work.  For years, we have read and discussed the importance of upskilling our workforce, being agile in times of change, being data driven in our decision-making, and automating processes to become more high functioning and efficient.  In case you haven’t noticed, we are actively living in this future that we have long been preparing for.

Over the past several months, HR professionals have been on the forefront of immediate and major shifts to having a remote workforce, implementing immediate legislative changes, and responding and moving forward in times in crisis.  The C-Suite has looked to us for guidance and successfully navigating the organization through these shifts.  And we have.  This is HR Leadership – strategy without fear, communication with sincerity, navigation with poise.

The future of work encompasses these many traits of great leadership including agility, analytics, and artificial Intelligence.  So much of what we do, the decisions we make, the interactions we have, and the processes and programs we create rely on strong business acumen coupled with facts and data.  The 2020 Peninsula SHRM Virtual Annual Conference offers fourteen, forward-thinking speakers, including keynote, Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., President & CEO of SHRM, who will guide HR professionals with incorporating technology and skills necessary to flourish in the future of today.

    Grow with us.
